What does it mean that China and Saudi Arabia compete at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos to become the new leaders of the globe? 

In Western Europe not only politicians have begun to warn against the power and influence of the far right. The italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben, too, sees the 1930s before us (when many preferred the antidiplomatic Hitler instead of the slimy excitement of politicians and diplomats) („Gli anni Tremta sono davanti a noi“, Quodlibet, 2024/1/15)). 

(Nevertheless, must Donald Trump, again candidate of the US presidency, be the western answer to the ambitions of the Chinese and Saudi Arabians?)
