Ghaddafi for president

Seif al-Islam al-Ghaddafi, so'n of the former libyan leader, is preparing to run for presidency in the north african country. The legitimation is given by the state of Libya while he has to face a process in Europe. His participation in the libyan war made a criminal of him, especially in western perception. As the former trustee of the Libyan Investment Authority's fund he might know where the billions disappeared from frozen assets in Belgium have gone, money that should have been dedicated to the libyan people - the reason why it was frozen after an UN-resolution. With new legitimacy he might be able to gain a certain control in Libya and internationally - important investments in the state fund demand more stability.
